On September 21, the China Foundation for Rural Development (CFRD) and the Graduate School of China Agricultural University (CAU) jointly convened a forum on the launch of the pilot work of the New Great Wall Science and Technology Courtyard Assistance Program. CFRD Executive Director Chen Hongtao, Deputy Executive Director Wang Peng, Deputy Director of Public Interaction Department Wang Shaofan, Deputy Director of Rural Revitalization Collaboration Department Zhao Xihua, Vice President of China Agricultural University Lin Wanlong, Executive Vice President of Graduate School of China Agricultural University Mr. Guo Xin, Minister of the Party Committee's R&D and Research Department Ma Ziwei, and Deputy Dean of Graduate School Wang Ling, Deputy Secretary General of Education Foundation of China Agricultural University were present at the meeting. The two sides jointly signed the "New Great Wall" cooperation agreement on the "Science and Technology Small Yard Assistance Program".

Symposium on the Pilot Work of the New Great Wall Science and Technology Yard Assistance Program

In 2002, CFRD launched the New Great Wall Student Support Program. By providing financial assistance and support for college students, CFRD helps students with family difficulties to complete their college education and build the Great Wall of Talents in the new era. The program has raised a total of more than 400 million yuan and benefited 149,100 students, contributing to winning the battle against poverty. With the focus of the national "Three Rural Issues" work shifting to the revitalization of the countryside, and focusing on the new requirements for the cultivation of talents at the stage of revitalization of the countryside, CFRD initiated the "The New Great Wall Science and Technology Small Courtyard Assistance Program".

On September 21st, CFRD signed a cooperation agreement with the Graduate School of China Agricultural University.
