Program Signing Ceremony between China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation and Baise Education Foundation Held in Beijing

On May 11, China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation(Hereafter referred as CFPA) and Baise Education Foundation held a meeting about New Great Wall Scholarship Program for High School Students and the Alumni Monthly Donation Initiative, and signed cooperation agreements for both two programs. Wang Xingzui, executive vice-president of CFPA, Yan Zhitao, deputy executive director of CFPA, Liang Wenhua, director of Baise Education Foundation, Liang Fuwen, deputy director of Baise Education Bureau, and Liao Hezhang, vice director and secretary general of Baise Education Foundation attended the ceremony.


The meeting reviewed eight years of cooperation between CFPA and Baise Education Foundation. These two organizations have cooperatively carried out a series of programs since 2013, including the New Great Wall Scholarship Program for High School Students, Domestic Panda Pack Project, Art Teacher Training Project, and Moving Forward Program, with a total amount of more than 10 million RMB. In April 2021, the two sides started cooperation on the Alumni Monthly Donation Initiative, involving 22 high schools, Baise College and Baise Vocational College. This initiative has motivated more than 2,200 people to participate and raise a total of nearly 80,000 RMB so far.

At the meeting, Yan Zhitao, deputy executive director of CFPA and Liang Wenhua, president of Baise Education Foundation, signed cooperation agreements on the New Great Wall Scholarship Program for High School Students and the Alumni Monthly Donation Initiative. In 2021, the CFPA promised to establish two New Great Wall WenXiu Classes in Baise. The Alumni Monthly Donation Initiative is expected to become the bridge between the two sides to mobilize more people to promote educational equality in Baise.

At the forum, Liang Wenhua, president of Baise Education Foundation, firstly expressed his appreciation for trust and support from CFPA. Baise Education Foundation is devoted to promote education development in Baise through financial assistance for students and staff, and CFPA has played an important role in sharing experience and financial support during this process. As for the cooperation project, Liang Wenhua said that New Great Wall Wenxiu Class Program was resulted from the combination of two educational programs involving in the New Great Wall Scholarship Program for High School Students found in CFPA and Wenxiu Class program implemented by Baise Education Foundation, bringing their cooperation to a new level. In addition, the Alumni Monthly Donation Initiative is the first attempt of the two sides to cooperate in fund-raising, which is a symbol of the further deepening and transformation of cooperation.

Liang fuwen, deputy director of Baise Education Bureau, introduced the current situation and predicament of Baise education development in his speech. He said, Baise city is an old revolutionary base area with economic underdevelopment characters. To promote the well-round development of students and improve the quality of teachers team become the main objectives in the development of Baise Education.

Wang Xingzhi, executive vice president of the CFPA, pointed out that student aid is the aims while monthly donation is just a means. He highlighted the importance of monthly donation to the development of an organization, it provided a constant supply of motivation to promote organization development. What’s more, it further proved its professional capabilities of an organization, monthly donation undertaken the important mission to spread the concepts of public welfare. He also emphasized that it is very pleased to share CFPA’S related experiences about Monthly Giving Donation with more partners, and looking forward to raising more amounts which would be used to implement on more educational aid programs and cultivating more talents for rural revitalization through the Alumni Monthly Donation Initiative.
