Love Without Border Forum Held Successfully

On the afternoon of August 22, 2017, CFPA successfully held the “Love Without Board Forum” in Beijing.The theme of the forum is Sharing Experiences, Improving Capability and Promoting Development". Following the government advocacy of the “Belt and Road”, and the supporting policies from the government for NGOs going abroad, the forum aimed at summarizing and evaluating the CFPA Internationalization Study and Strategic Development Plan Program, improving the internationalization of China's NGOs`capacities, forwarding the process of  China`s NGOs`internationalization.

About 120 guests actively participated this forum, including representatives from the government, academia, enterprise, media and NGOs, of which, 15 distinguished guests delivered wonderful speeches. They are, Wang Xingzui, Executive Vice President from CFPA;Elizabeth Knup, Country Director and Representative from Ford Foundation Beijing Office;Peng Bin, Mercy Corps Beijing Representative; Xu Jiayi, Assistant Project Officer from the United Nations Development Programme in China; Liu Kaiyang, Deputy Secretary General from China NGO Network for International Exchanges; Huang Haoming, Chairman from China Association for NGO Cooperation; Ding Li, Division of NGO Affairs from the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries; Deng Guosheng, the director of Center for Government Innovation, the Deputy Dean of China Institute for Charity, from Public Policy and management for Tsinghua University; Professor Li Xiaoyun from School of Humanities and Development, China Agricultural University; Professor Jin Jinping, from School of Law Peking University; Huang Zhenping, Assistant to the Dean, from Institute of Philanthropy, Tsinghua University; Jiang Anquan, Deputy Editor in Chief from Globe Times; Fu Tao, Secretary General from Beijing Woqi Charity Foundation.

The views and ideas offered by the speakers and panelists were thought-provoking, highlighting that strategy, funding, faith, perseverance, language, affinity and safe awareness are crucial and irreplaceable elements for Chinese NGOs`successful going-out. Meanwhile, a wide consensus has been reached upon the endeavors to be undertaken by Chinese NGOs, that is, enhancing the inner capacity building and advocating for sound policy and environment for Chinese NGOs.
