On the afternoon of June 29th local time, a delegation of six leaders from Beijing Foreign Studies University visited the Ethiopia Office of the China Foundation for Rural Development. The visit included exchanges and discussions on deepening cooperation between the two sides, culminating in the establishment of the 'Beijing Foreign Studies University Ethiopia Center for Overseas Internship' at the Ethiopia Office.

The visiting delegation included Vice President of BSFU Jia Dezhong, Dean of the African Studies Institute Li Hongfeng, Dean of the BFSU Institute Liu Tiewa, Deputy Director of the Alumni Office Yao Xue, Deputy Director of the Student Affairs Office Lan Jianhua, and faculty from the African Studies Institute Bao Aoyun. The Ethiopia Office was represented by Director Yin Qian, Project Manager Zhang Xiuzi, and other staff representatives.

During the discussion, Vice President Jia Dezhong and other representatives from BFSU praised the work of the Ethiopia Office and expressed a desire to further deepen cooperation between the two institutions. On one hand, students from the Amharic Department of BFSU's African Studies Institute can participate in the Ethiopia Office projects through remote or on-site internships, thereby supplementing the Ethiopia Office's operational capacity. On the other hand, hands-on practice can enhance the students' abilities and help them gain a better understanding of the roles and opportunities for social organizations in global governance.

The establishment of the Ethiopia Center aims to encourage BFSU students to participate in volunteer services and internship activities with a global perspective, thereby expanding their international outlook and employment opportunities. Additionally, this initiative enhances the interaction and communication between the China Foundation for Rural Development and the academic community, cultivating future talents for social organizations involved in global governance. In a friendly and warm atmosphere, both parties witnessed the inauguration of the 'Beijing Foreign Studies University Ethiopia Center for Overseas Internship' at the Ethiopia Office, anticipating closer cooperation in the future.
