Poverty Alleviation Demonstration Village Project of Tea Workshop:
Nepalese
organic tea is popular around the world. However, for lack of modern planting
and processing technology, tea farmers live a tough life, and it is hard to
create wealth. Demonstration Village of Tea Workshop for Poverty Alleviation in
Nepal Project is one of the overseas rural revitalization innovation projects
for China Foundation for Rural Development in 2023. It concentrates on
improving the technology level and product quality in Nepalese tea industry. Through
the introduction of advanced tea processing equipment and technical guidance
from China, it helps improve the current situation of tea planting, picking and
making and the productivity and quality of tea for tea farmers in Nepal
effectively, increasing their income and promoting the local rural development.
Nuwakot Jintang Village as the pilot area of project is about to benefit more
than 160 tea farmers and cover the production capacity of nearly 300,000 tea
trees.
