Moving Forward Program

The Moving Forward Program is a development-oriented philanthropic project launched by CFPA to promote the growth of children in poverty-stricken areas and fairness in education for urban and rural areas. The program aims to improve the learning environment and the sharing of quality education resources for children in poverty-stricken areas through continuous social care and professional support. 

The Moving Forward Program targets at poverty-stricken counties, and cooperates with the local education sectors to carry out the program in a certain proportion of primary schools in the county to help children in poverty-stricken areas grow in an all-round way. Through the demonstration and scalable effects of the schools participating in the program, it aims to push forward changes in local education policies and overall upgrades in local education quality.

From May 2014 to December 31, 2018, the project received a total of RMB 42.25 million, and input RMB 42.01 million, of which 22.91 million received and RMB 17.65 million input in 2018. The program benefited 5 poverty-stricken counties: Weining County of Guizhou Province, Zhenxiong County of Yunnan Province, Longlin County of Guangxi Province, Huize County of Yunnan Province and Zhaojue County of Sichuan Province, with a total of 38,790 beneficiary students and 1,609 beneficiary teachers.
