The “Love without Borders” International Fundraising Event was initiated in 2009 by the Ms. Qian Wei, wife of Mr. Wang Yi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of China. Since 2016, China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation became the co-host and so far carried out the event for 3 consecutive years, making it an influential platform for international philanthropic exchanges. The event attracted over 100 embassies in China, nearly 100 enterprises and hundreds of people from the public, and raised more than RMB 10 million yuan in total within 3 years.

On October 21st 2018, the 10th “Love without Borders——Hearing the Love of the World” International Fundraising Event was held. Wang Yi, Chinese State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs, together with his wife Qian Wei; Zhang Yesui, Party Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Le Yucheng, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs; Wang Chao, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs; Zhang Jun, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs; Zhang Hanhui, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs, and representatives from about 100 foreign embassies, international organizations and over 60 Chinese enterprises. The event attracted more than 10000 people and raised RMB 6.28 million of funds, which will be used for cochlear implantation operation and recovery training of hearing-impaired children in poverty-stricken areas of Northwest China.
