Member of Constituent Assembly Rajan KC, superstar Rajesh Hamal and Country Director of CFPA Zou Zhiqiang inaugurated the three-month skill development training amidst a function held at Dakshinkali Municipality-6.

A total of 40 youths of the municipality have got a chance to hone their technical capacity, which will enable them to find jobs in the country. The CFPA is providing skill development training for three months free of cost.

Nabaratna Technical Training Institute will conduct the training. Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) will provide certificates to the trainees by taking skill test after the training is over.

Addressing the training, Parliamentarian KC urged the trainees to participate in the training and use the skills gained effectively.

“Training is more important in life to uplift the livelihoods by connecting the skills to work. So, I request you all to use the skills properly,” he said.

Superstar Hamal motivated the youth participants to learn as much as they can from the programme and apply the skills for economic development.

“People only with general education can remain unemployed in the society. But skilled youth will get job opportunities everywhere,” he said.

He asked the participants to use the skills gained from the training and be updated in the technology to make their work advances as per the demand of time as the technology is being updated time and again.

“Youth training launched by CFPA, supported by our local partner SSN in 2019, focuses on the UN SDGs equality education and decent work and economic growth in cooperation with the government stakeholders to provide three months’ skill development training,” said Country Director of CFPA Zou Zhiqiang.

She said that the training would help enhance their technical capacity and find jobs in Nepal and have a chance to help the Chinese company to build highway and railway in Nepal in the future.

Since the establishment of Nepal office in 2015, CFPA has successfully carried out school construction, education materials support, school feeding and various other projects to assist in economic development in more than 35 districts in Nepal.

“We hope that all of the youth will take this opportunity to uplift your economic and social standard along with your family,” she said.

Mayor of Dakshinkali Municipality Mohan Basnet expressed his commitment to give priority to local skilled youth in the construction of local buildings and infrastructure.

Stating that they were compelled to hire skilled labourers from outside, he said that this training would be more fruitful to generate skilled manpower locally.

Earlier, about 100 youth of Pokhara and Nawalparasi received a similar training from the CFPA.
