Summary Meeting of China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation Humanitarian Relief Network's Action Against COVID-19 and The 2019-2020 Humanitarian Relief Network Work Conference successfully held in Wuhan

Foundation for Poverty Alleviation (CFPA) and organized by the Jingmen
Volunteer Association, the Summary Meeting of China Foundation for Poverty
Alleviation Humanitarian Relief Network in Action Against COVID-19 and The
2019-2020 Humanitarian Relief Network Work Conference successfully held in
Wuhan, with the theme of "Cooperation and inclusion, walking hand in hand,
humanitarian relief starts again" .

Jun, Deputy Executive Director of CFPA, Cai Dangming, Party Member and Deputy
Director of the Poverty Alleviation and Development Office of Hubei, Hu Zhongkai,
second-level inspector of the Hubei Provincial Health Commission Member, Gong
Xiaofeng Party Committee Member and Deputy Director of Hubei Provincial
Emergency Management Department, and nearly 100 people from 25 organizations of the Humanitarian Relief Network
attended the meeting.

The Humanitarian Relief Network was
established on April 7, 2014, initiated by China Foundation for Poverty
Alleviation, it is a cooperation platform for disaster prevention, mitigation
and disaster relief, established by more than 20 domestic non-profit
organizations, aiming to improve project management skills and governance
capabilities of member institutions, as well as to enhance the influence of the
humanitarian rescue network in the field of disaster management at home and
abroad, and realize the development of member institutions.
In the past six years, China Foundation for
Poverty Alleviation Humanitarian Relief Network has carried out 207
humanitarian relief operations, and donated more than 260 million yuan of funds
and materials to disaster-stricken areas. At the same time, it organized more
than 600 national disaster reduction and prevention advocacy activities and
built 73 disaster reduction classrooms on campus, spreading footprints in 32
provinces and 5 countries in DPRK, Myanmar, Nepal, Ecuador, and Haiti. More
than 2 million people have benefited from the operations of the humanitarian relief
network.
During the conference, CFPA reviewed the
work of the humanitarian relief network from 2019 to 2020, including the action
against COVID-19, disaster prevention, mitigation and relief work. "Road
to Reconstruction- China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation Post-disaster
Reconstruction Project Development Report" was also released. In addition,
awards were given to outstanding network member institutions, individuals and
outstanding disaster relief volunteers in 2019-2020.

humanitarian relief network from 2019 to 2020
The conference lasted for 3 days. Network
partners shared cases of actions against COVID-19. CFPA provided monthly
donation fund-raising support and financial management training to all members
of the humanitarian relief network. In addition, the conference also launched the
catastrophe-response manual workshop and water area drill, which were well
received by the participants.

Relief Network Conference has promoted the interaction and exchanges among the
members, enabling donors and partners to have a more comprehensive and in-depth
understanding of the work of China
Foundation for Poverty Alleviation Humanitarian Relief Network and jointly
contribute to the humanitarian relief cause.
