On July 23rd, the first session of the Training on Social Forces Participating in Rural Revitalization officially opened at the COFCO Zhongliang College in Beijing. Under the guidance of the Social Assistance Division of National Administration for Rural Revitalization (NARR), the session was hosted jointly by the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation (CFPA) and the China Minsheng Banking Corp. Ltd. (CMBC) and organized by the Mengdingshan Academy for Cooperative Development. The session aims to help the central government departments, state-owned enterprises, public institutions, private enterprises and other entities that assist in poverty alleviation as well as officials involved in agriculture and rural development to improve their professional competence, and strengthen their talent pool to promote rural revitalization in a comprehensive manner.

Hong Tianyun, Deputy Director of National Administration for Rural Revitalization, Zheng Wenkai, President of China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation, and Zheng Wanchun, President of China Minsheng Banking Corp. Ltd. attended the session and delivered important speeches respectively. More than 200 representatives from relevant ministries, central-government-owned enterprises, state-owned enterprises, private enterprises, local governments, local administrations for rural revitalization and resident work teams attended the training session.

Hong Tianyun ，Deputy Director of National Administration for Rural Revitalization, said that we need to accurately grasp the new situation of rural revitalization, including changes in work focus, policy measures and assistance methods. In promoting all-round rural vitalization, we must first consolidate the achievements of poverty alleviation. Besides, it is necessary to thoroughly boost rural construction and rural governance. The majority of social organizations should effectively take up the new mission of comprehensively pushing forward rural construction, and strive to become a force for consolidating the achievements of poverty alleviation, actively build a big stage for social forces to participate, and create a good brand to promote rural vitalization. At last, Deputy Director Hong also fully affirmed a serious of effective explorations made by China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation.

Zheng Wenkai, President of China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation, pointed out that the work of agriculture, rural areas and farmers had shifted from poverty alleviation to a new stage of rural revitalization, which mainly includes the following four aspects: The target of work has expanded from poor households to all farmers; The scope of work has broadened from key poverty-stricken areas to all rural areas; The field of work has extended from poverty alleviation to all fields; The goal of work has enlarged from poverty alleviation as the bottom-line task to the realization of all-round rural revitalization. Moreover, President Zheng said that this training will help all sectors of society to better analyze the situation, clarify tasks and grasp key points, so as to do a good job in rural revitalization.
