On September 1st, the completion ceremony of the Construction Project of China International Trade Primary School and the opening ceremony of the 2020-2021 school year were held at China International Trade Primary School in Tong Di township, Changning County.     On June 17, 2019, a 6.0-magnitude earthquake struck  Ning County，Yibin , Sichuan Province. The earthquake killed 13 people and injured 226. The Humanitarian Relief Network of the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation launched an emergency response immediately , delivering relief material to the affected areas of Yibin. On the third day after the earthquake, China World promptly offered to assist China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation in the post-disaster reconstruction.

Shiyi Primary School (now "China International Trade Primary School") is affiliated with Tong Di Town School, Changning County, which is more than 40 kilometers away from Changning County. The school was founded in 1983, with an area of 1700 square meters, 13 teachers. Before the disaster there were about 300 students, of which 158 were left-behind children,7 primary school classes, and 2 kindergarten classes.

Most of the houses in Changning County after the 6.17 earthquake disaster have become unsafe building.School facilities are not up to the current requirements of school operation, but also because of the hillside and slope that add greater inconvenience to school expansion, so the local government decides to relocate the school. After field research, the China World decided to donate 8 million yuan to ，Ning County, Yibin through China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation for post-earthquake reconstruction of Shiyan Primary School, which was renamed "China International Trade Primary School".

Wang Jun, deputy secretary-general of the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation, said in his speech that the China World's efforts to help build the "China International Trade Primary School" in Changning County not only provide a more comfortable learning and living environment for children in the earthquake-stricken areas, but also show a new concept of corporate philanthropy, fully reflecting the high sense of social responsibility of care for children in the disaster areas. At the same time, I am very grateful to the China World for their trust and support, and I hope to see the children’s faces be filled with smiles.

It is the traditional virtue of the Chinese nation to help the weak, the poor and the needy.  ITC supports the philanthropic cause with practical actions. In recent years, ITC's cumulative philanthropic donations have exceeded 13 million yuan. In 2017, the China World donated 400,000 yuan to China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation for the Panda Pack Project, donating 2,000 packs to children in poor areas before the onset of winter.
