Executive Vice President Wang Xingzui delivers a speech at the United Nations High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development
The United Nations High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development met from 9 July to 18 July 2018, including the ministerial meeting lasting from16 July to 18 July 2018. The theme for the 2018 High-Level Political Forum is "Transformation Towards Sustainable and Resilient Societies." The High-level Political Forum is the central multi-stakeholder mechanism established by the United Nations for follow-up and review of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals.

Executive Vice President Wang Xingzui was
invited to attend the High-level Political Forum
and the workshop on July10 which themed around “China’s Role in
achieving SGDs through global partnerships”. Wang delivered a speech “Pursue
and practices of SDGs by China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation” at the
workshop, and hosted the subsequent guest panel discussion.

CFPA also participated in the
exhibition during the forum to introduce our domestic and international work on
poverty alleviation, as well as our efforts to achieve sustainable development goals.
Ma Zhaoxu, China's permanent representative to
the United Nations, said when delivering the keynote speech, “China vigorously
pushes forward international cooperation and promotes sustainable development
among nations along the ‘Belt and Road’. The ‘Belt and Road’ Initiative highly matches
the UN Agenda 2030. They supplement each other, support each other, and jointly
promote international development cooperation.”
